What is planned in Arua?

Trees, crops and living hedges are planned as one system. The demonstration farm aims to show how agroforestry can improve water infiltration and soil cover, contribute to climate protection, and support diverse, resilient food production.

The plan includes a 3,600 m² regeneration area, existing trees, paths, mulch areas and spaces for field crops and herbs.

The system behind the trees

Four connected goals

The farm is planned as a practical learning site. Its results will depend on local conditions, careful management and time.

Water

Keep soil covered and help rain soak in and remain available in the landscape.

Climate & soil

Build healthy soil, limit erosion and grow trees that store carbon as they grow.

Food resilience

Combine different crops and tree products to broaden food sources and reduce reliance on a single harvest.

Productivity

Test locally suitable combinations that can support more stable, productive farming over time.

These are project goals and agroforestry learning questions—not measured results or guarantees of a specific environmental or yield impact.

Your tree sponsorship

Let a future take root.

With €8 per tree, you support tree planting in the planned Arua agroforestry demonstration farm. Your sponsorship connects reforestation with sustainable agriculture and a future place of learning.

  1. Choose your trees

One tree is €8, five trees are €40 and ten trees are €80.

  2. Choose how to donate

Donate online with PayPal, or prepare a bank transfer with the amount and payment reference on the next page.

  3. Request your certificate

After donating, email us the name for your certificate, the number of trees, the amount and the payment date. The association personalises the certificate after checking receipt of your donation.

A personal thank-you

Your sponsorship certificate.

The certificate records your name, the number of sponsored trees and your contribution. It is issued by the association after receipt of the donation, not automatically by the website.

The certificate is not a tax donation receipt or proof that a particular tree has already been planted. It does not grant ownership of trees or land.

Trees and education belong together.

The demonstration farm is planned as a practical learning space. It is financed and accounted for separately from the school of sustainable smallholder farming in Arua. Your tree sponsorship supports the demonstration farm.
